In November 2017 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo, which included the work Sulla via del ritorno by Giovanni Lomi. The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Lomi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Giardini Pubblici A Firenze in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 10,000.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sulla via del ritorno von Giovanni Lomi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Lomi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Giardini Pubblici A Firenze im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.000,00.
