Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work The Madonna and Child with Saints Jerome and Francis by Giovanni di Niccolò Mansueti. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,293.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Giovanni di Niccolò Mansueti have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2008 the work The Supper at Emmaus, en grisaille was auctioned for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,572.68).
