Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portait of a man in a black beretta by Giovanni di Nicocolò de Lutero was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 119,700.00 (€ 106,760.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni di Nicocolò de Lutero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Plague at Pergamea; The Sicilian Games in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,238,800.00 (€ 5,141,161.93).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 119.700,00 (€ 106.760,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden.
