Die Arbeit Italian The See-Saw von Giovanni Battista Torriglia kam im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 63.650,00 (€ 74.691,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Torriglia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian The Thread Of Life im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 228.500,00 (€ 319.959,12).
