In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work Recto: A compositional study, possibly the vocation of St. Matthew Verso: Three studies of the torso of Venus, after the Antique by Giovanni Battista Naldini. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,560.63), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Naldini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family With The Young Saint John The Baptist in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 217,037.04).

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recto: A compositional study, possibly the vocation of St. Matthew Verso: Three studies of the torso of Venus, after the Antique von Giovanni Battista Naldini zur Versteigerung kam.
