In October 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Design For An Altarpiece by Giovanni Battista della Rovere. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,107.42) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Giovanni Battista della Rovere have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2013 the work Christ In Glory, Adored By The Virgin, St. Francis, A Saint And Angels was auctioned for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,281.80).
