Auction result misses estimated price range
In June last year a collector was able to acquire the work Toceno by Giovanni Battista Ciolina for EUR 400.00. This price was achieved in the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 550.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Ciolina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passaggio del treno a Toceno in June last year with an auction result of EUR 10,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Toceno von Giovanni Battista Ciolina für EUR 400,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 550,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Ciolina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passaggio del treno a Toceno im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.000,00.
