Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Il ritorno, Druogno (Val Vigezzo) by Giovanni Battista Ciolina was auctioned at Il Ponte in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 11,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 9,000.00. Other works by Giovanni Battista Ciolina have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June last year by the work Passaggio del treno a Toceno at EUR 10,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Il ritorno, Druogno (Val Vigezzo) von Giovanni Battista Ciolina im Juni letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 11.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 9.000,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Ciolina wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres die Arbeit Passaggio del treno a Toceno mit EUR 10.000,00.
