Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2005 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Roman ruins with figures resting in the foreground by Giovanni Battista Busiri. The price achieved of USD 720.00 (€ 600.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Busiri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Six Roman Views: The Colosseum; The Temple Of Vesta At Tivoli; The Waterfalls At Tivoli; The Pyramid Of Caius Cestius; The Temple Of Vesta In Rome; The Tomb Of Caecilia Metella in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 41,250.00 (€ 53,102.43).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Six Roman Views: The Colosseum; The Temple Of Vesta At Tivoli; The Waterfalls At Tivoli; The Pyramid Of Caius Cestius; The Temple Of Vesta In Rome; The Tomb Of Caecilia Metella im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 41.250,00 (€ 53.102,43).
