The work Flora and Zephyr by Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2015. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,743.61), 61% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bathsheba at her toilet sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of USD 216,000.00 (€ 158,125.92).

Die Arbeit Flora and Zephyr von Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 79.743,61) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bathsheba at her toilet im April 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 158.125,92).
