This artwork by Giovanni Antonio Guardi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2008. In the Old Masterand British Pictures auction, the work Portrait of Elisabetta Farnese, Queen of Spain, Seated Three-Quarter-Length, In An Ermine-Lined Cloak, With A Crown Beside Her, In A Draped Interior sold for GBP 84,500.00 (€ 107,725.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Antonio Guardi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apollo; and Diana, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 245,000.00 (€ 219,652.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Antonio Guardi erzielte im April 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masterand British Pictures wurde die Arbeit Portrait of Elisabetta Farnese, Queen of Spain, Seated Three-Quarter-Length, In An Ermine-Lined Cloak, With A Crown Beside Her, In A Draped Interior für GBP 84.500,00 (€ 107.725,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Antonio Guardi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apollo; and Diana beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für USD 245.000,00 (€ 219.652,14) versteigert wurde.
