Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giovanni Anselmo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2015. In the The Italian Sale auction, the work Grigi che si alleggeriscono verso oltremare (Greys which become lighter in the direction of ‘oltremare) sold for GBP 242,500.00 (€ 339,196.93) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Anselmo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torsione in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 6,437,000.00 (€ 5,855,011.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Anselmo erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Italian Sale wurde die Arbeit Grigi che si alleggeriscono verso oltremare (Greys which become lighter in the direction of ‘oltremare) für GBP 242.500,00 (€ 339.196,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Anselmo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torsione im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.437.000,00 (€ 5.855.011,82).
