Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler, which included the work Bacchanal with Altar, Faun and Silenus (Bartsch 3) by Giovanni Andrea Podestà. It changed hands for a price of GBP 687.50 (€ 798.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Andrea Podestà achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putti Come Allegoria Della Musica in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 27,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bacchanal with Altar, Faun and Silenus (Bartsch 3) von Giovanni Andrea Podestà zur Versteigerung kam.
