Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Artist In His Studio by Gillis van Tilborgh II was sold in the Old Masters Part II auction at Christies in New York in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 60,000.00 (€ 49,875.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gillis van Tilborgh II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elegant Interior With Twelve Gentleman Surrounded By Paintings And Leather Wall Coverings With A Game Of Backgammon At Center in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 915,000.00 (€ 749,324.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Artist In His Studio von Gillis van Tilborgh II wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Old Masters Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 49.875,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gillis van Tilborgh II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Elegant Interior With Twelve Gentleman Surrounded By Paintings And Leather Wall Coverings With A Game Of Backgammon At Center im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 915.000,00 (€ 749.324,38).
