This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gil Joseph Wolman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot French Od4 (Amérique La Rechute) sold at auction in December 2008 with the realized price of EUR 24,750.00.
