In November 2000 Christies in Milan held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Ragazzo al caffè by Gianfranco Ferroni. The »bidding war« ended at ITL 4,465,000.00 (€ 4,108.58), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gianfranco Ferroni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ambiente familiare in April last year with an auction result of EUR 17,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ragazzo al caffè von Gianfranco Ferroni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von ITL 4.465.000,00 (€ 4.108,58) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gianfranco Ferroni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ambiente familiare im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.640,00.
