This artwork by Gianfilippo Usellini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in April 2019. In the Collection Particulière Italienne : De Giovanni Fattori à Giorgio de Chirico auction, the work The Masks sold for EUR 6,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gianfilippo Usellini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ponza, which sold at auction in May 2001 for ITL 18,375,000.00 (€ 17,386.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gianfilippo Usellini erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Particulière Italienne : De Giovanni Fattori à Giorgio de Chirico wurde die Arbeit The Masks für EUR 6.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gianfilippo Usellini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ponza beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für ITL 18.375.000,00 (€ 17.386,16) versteigert wurde.
