Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain, which included the work Girls on red background by Getahun Assefa Balcha. The price achieved of EUR 7,650.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Getahun Assefa Balcha have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March last year the work Girl with Cherries was auctioned for GBP 11,970.00 (€ 14,191.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girls on red background von Getahun Assefa Balcha zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.650,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Getahun Assefa Balcha konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März letzten Jahres die Arbeit Girl with Cherries für GBP 11.970,00 (€ 14.191,78) versteigert.
