Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nella Citta (Taormina) by Gerrit van Blaaderen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. The price achieved of NLG 11,750.00 (€ 5,647.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerrit van Blaaderen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Taormina, which sold at auction in November 2000 for NLG 40,957.00 (€ 19,187.70).

Die Arbeit Nella Citta (Taormina) von Gerrit van Blaaderen kam im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 11.750,00 (€ 5.647,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerrit van Blaaderen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Taormina beobachtet, die im November 2000 für NLG 40.957,00 (€ 19.187,70) versteigert wurde.
