The work A mountainous landscape with travellers on a path by a waterfall by Gerrit Battem was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in July 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,247.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gerrit Battem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures On A Frozen Canal in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,027.61).

Die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with travellers on a path by a waterfall von Gerrit Battem wurde im Juli 2002 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.247,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
