This artwork by Gerard Seghers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2012. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work The Resurrection sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,131.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard Seghers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Repentant Mary Magdalene in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 746,000.00 (€ 614,750.72).

In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Resurrection für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.131,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard Seghers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Repentant Mary Magdalene im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 746.000,00 (€ 614.750,72).
