Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spilled ink by Gérard Portielje was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2006. The price achieved of EUR 12,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gérard Portielje have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The flirtation in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 111,169.00 (€ 53,357.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spilled ink von Gérard Portielje wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gérard Portielje auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The flirtation im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 111.169,00 (€ 53.357,45).
