Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Refreshment at work by Gérard Portielje was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,630.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gérard Portielje have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The flirtation in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 111,169.00 (€ 53,357.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Refreshment at work von Gérard Portielje kam im April 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.630,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gérard Portielje auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The flirtation im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 111.169,00 (€ 53.357,45).
