This artwork by Gerard David achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2018. In the Tableaux 1400 - 1900 auction, the work La Déploration sur le Christ mort sold for EUR 110,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard David achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 4,846,250.00 (€ 5,433,711.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard David erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Tableaux 1400 - 1900 wurde die Arbeit La Déploration sur le Christ mort für EUR 110.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard David erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Family im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.846.250,00 (€ 5.433.711,88).
