Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerard d'Alton Henderson could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art Online auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 1,890.00 (€ 224.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerard d'Alton Henderson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 7,560.00 (€ 897.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard d'Alton Henderson konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art Online wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 1.890,00 (€ 224,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerard d'Alton Henderson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.560,00 (€ 897,53).
