Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerard d'Alton Henderson could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art Online auction, the work The Encounter changed hands for HKD 3,150.00 (€ 373.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard d'Alton Henderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 7,560.00 (€ 897.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard d'Alton Henderson konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art Online wechselte die Arbeit The Encounter für HKD 3.150,00 (€ 373,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard d'Alton Henderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 7.560,00 (€ 897,53) versteigert wurde.
