Auction result well in line with expectations

The work "Dead Parrot Sketch" by Gerald Scarfe was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,640.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Scarfe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Churchill In The House Of Commons in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 141,017.67).

Die Arbeit "Dead Parrot Sketch" von Gerald Scarfe kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.640,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
