Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Suicide (Green) 1 (diptych) by Gerald Davis was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,926.95). Admittedly, works by Gerald Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pinocchio Under The Sea in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,000.00 (€ 19,063.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Suicide (Green) 1 (diptych) von Gerald Davis kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.926,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerald Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pinocchio Under The Sea im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 19.063,18).
