Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Gerald Coarding for USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,589.05). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerald Coarding - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract composition, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 7,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gerald Coarding für USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.589,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerald Coarding mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract composition beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 7.800,00 versteigert wurde.
