Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Lilacs by Georges Lapchine for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,080.65). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Lapchine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Early Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,688.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lilacs von Georges Lapchine für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.080,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Lapchine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Early Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.688,76).
