Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Georgios Zongolopoulos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2007. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Greek Umbrellas sold for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 34,306.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georgios Zongolopoulos; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Greek Aithrio (Atrium) sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,455.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georgios Zongolopoulos erzielte im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Greek Umbrellas für GBP 24.500,00 (€ 34.306,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georgios Zongolopoulos; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Greek Aithrio (Atrium) im Mai 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 46.455,48).
