Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,863.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgios Zongolopoulos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Aithrio (Atrium), which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,455.48).

Die Arbeit Greek Lens And Umbrella von Georgios Zongolopoulos wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.900,00 (€ 20.863,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
