In May this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Scène biblique by Georgios Derpapas. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,837.50 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Georgios Derpapas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Surrealist Composition in May 2009 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,341.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène biblique von Georgios Derpapas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.837,50 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgios Derpapas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Surrealist Composition im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 56.341,50).
