In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Landscape With Church And Angel by Georgios Derpapas. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,670.16), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgios Derpapas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Surrealist Composition, which sold at auction in May 2009 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,341.50).

Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Landscape With Church And Angel von Georgios Derpapas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.670,16) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgios Derpapas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Surrealist Composition beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 56.341,50) versteigert wurde.
