Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,758.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noël Bouvard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veneitian backwaters, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,023.46).
