The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,054.65), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Guyot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panthère regardant un cobra in June this year with an auction result of EUR 44,800.00.

Die Arbeit Kneeling nude von Georges Guyot wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.054,65) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Guyot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Panthère regardant un cobra im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 44.800,00.
