The work La Sieste by Georges Lemmen was sold in the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. It achieved a price of EUR 43,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46 %. Admittedly, works by Georges Lemmen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La modiste in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 173,250.00 (€ 257,847.89).

Die Arbeit La Sieste von Georges Lemmen wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 43.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Lemmen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La modiste im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.250,00 (€ 257.847,89).
