Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nature Morte, No. 1 by Georges Hillaireau was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 318.71). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Hillaireau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in July 2008 for EUR 867.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nature Morte, No. 1 von Georges Hillaireau im April 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 250,00 (€ 318,71) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Hillaireau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für EUR 867,00 versteigert wurde.
