Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'île Éléphantine à Assouan by Georges Hanna Sabbagh was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,416.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Hanna Sabbagh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Sycomores du Vieux Caire (Old Cairo's Sycamore Trees) in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 110,000.00 (€ 99,619.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'île Éléphantine à Assouan von Georges Hanna Sabbagh wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.416,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Hanna Sabbagh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Sycomores du Vieux Caire (Old Cairo's Sycamore Trees) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.000,00 (€ 99.619,63).
