Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art/ Middle East, which included the work Egyptiannude Seated In A Breton Landscape (Nu Assis Dans Un Paysage Breton) by Georges Hanna Sabbagh. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,140.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Hanna Sabbagh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Sycomores du Vieux Caire (Old Cairo's Sycamore Trees) in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 110,000.00 (€ 99,619.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Egyptiannude Seated In A Breton Landscape (Nu Assis Dans Un Paysage Breton) von Georges Hanna Sabbagh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.140,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Hanna Sabbagh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Sycomores du Vieux Caire (Old Cairo's Sycamore Trees) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.000,00 (€ 99.619,63).
