Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Egyptian the Aswan Cataract by Georges Hanna Sabbagh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2017. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,654.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Hanna Sabbagh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Sycomores du Vieux Caire (Old Cairo's Sycamore Trees), which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 110,000.00 (€ 99,619.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Egyptian the Aswan Cataract von Georges Hanna Sabbagh kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.654,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Hanna Sabbagh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Sycomores du Vieux Caire (Old Cairo's Sycamore Trees) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für USD 110.000,00 (€ 99.619,63) versteigert wurde.
