It achieved a price of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,570.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Admittedly, works by Georges Goursat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monte-Carlo in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,439.42).

Die Arbeit A collection of Caricatures of Society Figures at the theatre, dining, hunting and other events von Georges Goursat wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.570,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Goursat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monte-Carlo im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.439,42).
