In August 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Amihion Antiopa by George Raynor Hoff. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 11,950.00 (€ 7,282.42), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Raynor Hoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian The Kiss, which sold at auction in August 2009 for AUD 28,800.00 (€ 16,932.09).

Im August 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Amihion Antiopa von George Raynor Hoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 11.950,00 (€ 7.282,42) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Raynor Hoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian The Kiss beobachtet, die im August 2009 für AUD 28.800,00 (€ 16.932,09) versteigert wurde.
