Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winners Take All by George Phippen was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,445.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Phippen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Visitor in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 35,075.00 (€ 31,314.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winners Take All von George Phippen kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.445,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Phippen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Visitor im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.075,00 (€ 31.314,17).
