Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work No Job for the Timid Soul by George Phippen. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,260.13). Admittedly, works by George Phippen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Visitor in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 35,075.00 (€ 31,314.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit No Job for the Timid Soul von George Phippen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.260,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Phippen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Visitor im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.075,00 (€ 31.314,17).
