Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of Thomas Earl of Southampton, three-quarter-length, in an interior by George Perfect Harding was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 329.00 (€ 508.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Perfect Harding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James I (1566-1625), King Of Scotland As James Vi 1567-1625, And King Of England 1603-1625, In Gold-Embroidered Doublet With Ermine Sleeves, High Lace Ruff, Wearing The Collar Of The Order Of The Garter And A Great George, Black Hat With Jewelled Hat Badg in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.0
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit James I (1566-1625), King Of Scotland As James Vi 1567-1625, And King Of England 1603-1625, In Gold-Embroidered Doublet With Ermine Sleeves, High Lace Ruff, Wearing The Collar Of The Order Of The Garter And A Great George, Black Hat With Jewelled Hat Badg im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.016,83).
