In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work A portrait of the Earl of Penbroke sold for GBP 1,528 (€ 2,561) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Perfect Harding - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work James I (1566-1625), King Of Scotland As James Vi 1567-1625, And King Of England 1603-1625, In Gold-Embroidered Doublet With Ermine Sleeves, High Lace Ruff, Wearing The Collar Of The Order Of The Garter And A Great George, Black Hat With Jewelled Hat Badg, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 5,000 (€ 6
