Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sheldrake; And Storm by George Paice was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in April 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,752.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Paice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Over the ditch, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,216.82).

Die Arbeit Sheldrake; And Storm von George Paice wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.752,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von George Paice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Over the ditch beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 2.937,50 (€ 4.216,82) versteigert wurde.
