Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Lucenie', a bay hunter in his stable by George Paice for GBP 132.00 (€ 193.47). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Paice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Over the ditch in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,216.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Lucenie', a bay hunter in his stable von George Paice für GBP 132,00 (€ 193,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Paice erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Over the ditch im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.937,50 (€ 4.216,82).
