Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 1,386.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Nelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unique dining table in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,458.06).

Die Arbeit Banquette Modular seating, le modèle créé en 1955 von George Nelson kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.386,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Nelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unique dining table im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.458,06).
